Free The Ocean
You play as The Seahorse and have to traverse the seafloor to free other ocean dwellers from falsely discarded trash. It's a short but fun puzzle game.
Use WASD to control the Seahorse. When you are adjacent to the sea creature you wish to free press Space Bar. You have a limited amount of moves to free all the sea creatures on the screen. Seaweed will use two moves, and Fish Highways will help you travel quicker to your target.
I recommend playing in full screen

Really fun small game, it plays fairly well
I like the little puzzle aspect of the game. The schools of fish were my favorite part. GO FAST!!!
Pretty cool. I like how you slowly introduced smaller pieces of puzzles and mechanics then began to challenge me to keep me interested and thinking.
Glad you enjoyed it. I was rather happy with how well it seemed to ramp up, thank you for playing.
Fun little puzzle game with an ecological message. The last couple of levels I thought I wouldn't be able to complete but got them fairly quickly with a bit of experimentation. The fish streams were my favourite mechanic. Some sound effects would be a great addition.
Good job being able to complete it. And yeah, when we come back to this sound effects are going to be high on the list of things to add. Thank you for playing.
Fun little game! Love the aesthetic and the message it has. Keep our oceans clean!
😉
And free those Raptors! :P. Thank you for playing
This is great! I love the strategy and the unique concept. I really got into working out the best way to proceed. Would love to see more if you continue with the idea.
Glad you enjoyed it. We will probably continue this at some point but we have another project we need to finish before. Thank you for playing.
Really nice and simple game with some fun puzzles. Having more polished this could have some real appeal. Right now I noticed a bug where if you're quick enough with spamming space and on a current you can clean fish that you're not supposed to. I'm assuming that's a bug at least :)
Glad you enjoyed it :). And yeah, that is a bug that was shown to me with a few hours left and my solution was janky at best and doesnt work most of the time, so when I revisit this itll be the first thing to fix. Thank you for playing.
dude great game!
Glad you liked it. Thank you for playing. :)
Game is quite interesting, was a bit confused at first (as I skipped over the instructions oops) but I think it's a solid idea and I really like the concept behind the game. What made you decide to make your idea into a puzzle-style game?
I'm going to be honest I'm not sure how we decided on the topic or the genre. It was sort of us discussing ideas and we settled on SeaHorse puzzle game. I think we went with the obvious idea of freeing something and thought that could work as a puzzle game, and then I shared a screenshot with a seahorse for some reason.
This is a really cool game! the mechanic is a very interesting, and is a overall fun puzzle game to play. The only thing i would suggest is maybe sound to make this game to really come to life, but you did a amazing job making this! This could make a really promising game!
I am glad you liked it, and thank you for your feedback. :). And I agree, music and sound would really add something to this game, music isn't in our skill set unfortunately , but if we were to polish it we would find someone to help us bring our aquatic world to life. Thank you for playing :)
It was my pleasure! Hope you had fun during this Jam!
Promising mechanics. I would love to see this developed in a polished product. I think it would appeal to a large audience.
Hey. Really glad you liked it. We currently have another project we want to finish, but after that we hope to return to this and work with it a bit more. Thank you for playing. :)
